Perrine Diehl

BASS / BACKING VOCALS

Born in France with german origins in Sarreguemines, Lorraine region, she starts studying music at the Music Academy at the age of 9. The next 7 years are dedicated to the study of the classical guitar at the Music Academy of Sarreguemines, but she spends 2 more years at he music school of Forbach.

In 2008 she falls in love with the bass guitar after listening to a Miles Davis album. She buys herself a bass guitar and starts as a self-taught. The knowledge she acquired at the Music Academy through the study of the classical guitar allows her to integrate the Music Academy of Sarreguemines Jazz Big Band where she stays for 5 years.

In 2014, she is admitted at the International Music Academy of Nancy to become a professional musician. There, she meets and works with influential bass players ans musicinas such as Jean Bisello…, Benoit Vanderstraten, Olivier Bêche, Philippe Gonnand, Dominique Di Piazza, Diego Imbert, Stuart Hamm, Franck Aguhlon, Olivier Baldissera, Jean-Philippe Fanfan, Jean-Claude Rappin…

She graduates in July 2015 and is the first of her class on the bass guitar course.

From the beginning on the bass guitar, she could practice in bands of various horizons, from pop to world music.

Her musical influences include reggae, jazz, world music, rock and soul music.
